Challange

Tiv Taam required a logistics system to manage storage across frozen and chilled environments while streamlining order preparation processes. The system must fit limited floor space and support a substantial picking operation from both frozen and chilled environments with an efficient Goods to Person system. The solution must be suitable to pick items from SKU pallets to order pallets and with high throughput.

Solution

Utron is installing a 4-way shuttle-based storage system with 7,000 pallet positions across two warehouses (frozen and chilled). The system utilizes AMRs to automate pallet transport (Goods-to-Person) to picking stations in chilled environment, enabling efficient order preparation and improved warehouse operations. Utron software package Unistock will manage the 4way shuttle storage system and AMRs to achieve efficient order picking operation with min labor and working times.
