The system features a rack support racking system, 7 AS/RS pallet cranes, a high throughput miniload system, palletizing robots, pallet shuttles, pallet elevators, sorter, and pallets & totes conveying systems. This setup ensures efficient storage and retrieval processes, optimizing space and productivity within the facility.
Technology
The automated warehouse consisted of interior systems (HBW) for storing and retrieving pallets (~15,500 locations) and a unique AS/RS carton boxes/crates Miniload system (~11,000 locations). It includes high throughputs with 2 LHD units that can handle 6 cartons/crates at a time, decanting stations, conveying systems, conventional racking for manual picking, shuttle-cars, flow-racks, pallet lifts, palletizing robots, sorters, pallet magazines, and shrink-wrappers.

The project required the installation of an automated warehouse spread over 3 different levels of the logistic center, capable of operating in two different temperature environments (4⁰ C and 18⁰ C). The system needed to seamlessly integrate with the existing infrastructure and support high throughput demands.
