Challenge

The initial parking design, with its traditional 300-space deck, presented as an unsightly large box obstructing the elegant lobby and blocking the stunning Manhattan views, necessitating a redesign to preserve the luxurious aesthetic of the building.

Solution

Utron’s design reduced the number of above-ground parking levels by integrating part of the system below ground and maintaining the architectural vision with improved street access.

Technology

Utron Pace is a Shuttle Automated Parking solution, also referred to as “Rack and Rail” parking system. The system is based on shuttles performing single path horizontal movement along fixed rails and storing vehicles on racks located perpendicular to both sides of the fixed rails.

Client note

Utron’s solution replaced a parking podium which took up the site’s entire footprint, with parking both above and below ground. Thanks to Utron parking capacity was significantly increased while tucking it completely under the residential tower. Costs were drastically reduced and building visibility improved.
