Utron was responsible for the design, supply, and installation of an automated logistics system for Home Center’s logistics center in Israel. Home Center, a leading Do-It-Yourself (DIY) network, chose Utron due to their satisfaction with another automated system installed by Utron a few years prior.

The system includes 3 AS/RS pallet cranes, a pallet trolley, pallets picking stations, and pallets conveyors. This setup ensures efficient storage, retrieval, and handling of various DIY products within the logistics center.
Technology
The automated logistics system features an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS), conveying elements, and manual and semi-automated order picking solutions. The control and software components are based on Unitronics PLCs and UniStock™ WMS software, designed to manage material flow and automated storage in logistics systems while continuously exchanging information with the organization’s ERP system.
