Puzzle Parking System

Utron’s Puzzle is a semi-automated parking garage system that allows each space to be independently accessed and does not require a parking attendant. The Puzzle car lift is ideal for new construction or retrofit projects that have a minimum clear height of 12′ 5″. It is extremely versatile and is available up to 5 levels, with or without pits, and can be designed in tandem configurations with electric vehicle charging capabilities.

Puzzle without a Pit (Above Ground)

This puzzle parking system features multiple floors of parking above ground. This solution is ideal for locations where excavation is not feasible or desired and offers a quick and cost-effective parking solution.

Puzzle with a Pit

The puzzle parking system with a pit offers independent access to each level. The lower level is situated below ground, allowing the upper platforms to be lowered directly to the ground level for easy access. This design maximizing the use of vertical space.

HOW THE PARKING PROCESS WORKS

  • Entering the puzzle parking system
The driver brings their vehicle to the entrance of the puzzle parking system.
  • Requesting the platform
The user requests a platform through a touchscreen kiosk, key fob, or mobile app. The system brings the platform to grade level.
  • Entering the platform
A safety gate opens when the platform is in position, the driver pulls the vehicle onto the platform.
  • Submit parking at the kiosk/app
The driver then exits the car, locks it, leaves the puzzle, and goes to the kiosk to complete the parking procedure. The parking process is initiated using the Utron mobile app or at the kiosk payment machine with a card swipe.
  • Car is transferred to parking space
Once the storage command is confirmed, the safety gate closes. The vehicle is then automatically moved to the specified storage position within the puzzle parking system.

HOW THE RETRIEVAL PROCESS WORKS

  • Car retrieval request
The driver uses the app or swipes a personal card at the kiosk, which triggers a request to retrieve the car.
  • Request queues at the kiosk screen
The Kiosk screen displays the current request in the queue, together with requests from other drivers.
  • Car is retrieved from storage
The system brings the vehicle to the same position of loading at the entrance.
  • Exiting the Puzzle Parking System
The driver enters the vehicle, starts it, and drives away.
  • Closing Safety Gate and System Reset
After exiting, the driver uses a key fob or mobile app to close the safety gate. Once the safety gate is closed, the system returns to a neutral state.

Common Questions

Why should I consider implementing Puzzle Parking in my building as an owner?

Puzzle parking offers several benefits for building owners, including maximizing parking capacity within limited space, increasing property value by offering innovative parking solutions, reducing the need for extensive excavation or construction for additional parking, and providing a convenient and efficient parking experience for residents or tenants.

Is Puzzle Parking cost-effective compared to traditional parking solutions?

Yes, puzzle parking can be cost-effective in the long run due to its ability to maximize parking capacity within a limited footprint. While the initial investment may be higher than traditional parking solutions, the efficiency and space-saving nature of puzzle parking can lead to reduced land costs, increased revenue potential, and lower maintenance expenses over time.

How does Puzzle Parking contribute to sustainability and environmental conservation?

Puzzle parking reduces the need for extensive land use for parking lots, thereby preserving green spaces and reducing urban sprawl. Additionally, it promotes the use of vertical space, which can help minimize the environmental impact of parking structures on surrounding ecosystems. Furthermore, some puzzle parking systems offer EV charging capabilities, encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Can Puzzle Parking be customized to suit the specific needs of my building or project?

Yes, puzzle parking solutions are highly customizable and can be tailored to fit the unique requirements of different buildings or projects. Whether it’s accommodating specific vehicle sizes, integrating EV charging stations, or incorporating aesthetic considerations, puzzle parking systems can be designed to meet diverse needs and preferences.

What are the maintenance requirements for Puzzle Parking systems?

Puzzle parking systems typically have minimal moving parts, leading to reduced maintenance requirements compared to traditional parking solutions. Regular inspections, routine cleaning, and occasional servicing of mechanical components may be necessary to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the system. Utron offers comprehensive service and maintenance programs to address these needs.

What safety features are included in the Puzzle Parking System?

The system is equipped with a safety locking system, secondary safety system, limit switches, motion detectors, lasers, visual and audible alarms, emergency stops, and safety gates for self-parking and in-ground units.
