Utron Pace

Utron Pace is a Shuttle Automated Parking solution, also referred to as “Rack and Rail” parking system. The system is based on shuttles performing single path horizontal movement along fixed rails and storing vehicles on racks located perpendicular to both sides of the fixed rails.
The structure is made of concrete (with embedded rails) or steel racking structure (similar to warehouse racks). This allows achieving maximal efficiency in rectangular shapes. Shuttle automated parking systems range from single level to multi-level, and typically serve larger parking capacity (hundreds of spaces).

Utron slide

Utron Slide is a Conveyor Automated Parking solution, also referred to as “Matrix” parking system. The system is composed of stationary conveyors performing multi-dimensional movements of vehicles stored on pallets, on a single/multi-level structure.
Vehicles are stored on pallets on top of the conveyors yielding very high square-footage efficiency and fast parking and retrieval cycles.
The conveyor arrays allow multi-path movements which increase the system’s redundancy. However, performance levels are directly related to the complexity of the conveyors array arrangement.

HOW THE PARKING PROCESS WORKS

  • Entering the bay room 
    The driver approaches the bay with the car and stops at the marked sign. A rolling door opens, and the user drives the car into the bay where it is measured by sensors and guided to the correct position by instructions on a screen in front of the driver. When the car is correctly positioned, the driver gets an on-screen approval that the car is ready to be parked.
  • Submit parking at the kiosk/app 
    The driver then exits the car and locks it, leaves the bay room and goes to the kiosk to complete the parking procedure. The parking process is initiated using the Utron mobile App or at the kiosk payment machine with card swipe or by pulling a pay ticket.
  • Car is transferred to parking space
    Once the request at the app/kiosk is complete, the bay door closes, and sensors sweep the room to detect that there is no movement outside the car. According to the car’s dimensions, a shuttle system retrieves the car from the bay and stores it in a suitable place.
  • Process completed 
    The Bay room is now ready for another car to be parked, or for a car to be retrieved from storage.

HOW THE RETRIEVAL PROCESS WORKS

  • Car retrieval request
    The driver uses the app or swipes a personal card at the kiosk payment machine (or pays the parking fee), which triggers a request to retrieve the car.
  • Request queues at the reception screen 
    The reception screen displays the current request in the queue, together with requests from other drivers.
  • Car is retrieved from storage
    The automated system retrieves the car from storage and delivers it to an empty bay room.
  • Bay room is ready to collect the car
    The designated bay room door opens with the car facing out and ready to go. All the user needs to do is get in and drive straight out.
