Project Overview

This project, located in Illinois, USA, is a multifamily and mixed-use development that aims to optimize parking space usage through phases. Initially designed with traditional ramp parking, the developers faced challenges in meeting their goal of increasing the car count by 50+ spaces within the same footprint while allowing for future expansion.

The Challenge

Original Car Count:

105 cars (70 cars on the Lower Level + 35 spaces on Ground Level)

Objective:

Increase car count by over 50 spaces and plan for a future build-out (Phase 3) to further extend parking capacity.

d the Pace system, a high-efficiency shuttle automated parking solution. This system not only increased the parking capacity within the existing footprint but also prepared for future expansions seamlessly.

Achievements:

• Original Count (Standard Ramp Garage): 105 cars
• Proposed Count (Utron Pace System): 161 cars
  Lower Level: Increased from 70 to 126 cars
  Ground Level: Remains at 35 cars

The Utron Pace system added 56 cars to the original lower-level footprint and 96 cars in the Phase 3 build-out.
